Hoi An area has hundreds of kilometers of river system ideal for activities such as kayaking, boating, etc. which can be enjoyed twelve months of the year!

The Central Highlands, with My Son at the base, provides a wonderful contrast to crowded coastal Vietnam - ideal for hiking, kayaking & boat tours.

The unbroken 40 km of beach from Hoi An North to Danang with clear & calm water is ideal in Spring & Summer (tourist low season) for swimming, sailing & sunbathing.

In Winter Cua Dai beach is ideal with onshore NE winds for windsurfing, surfing, body boards - and if it is a hot day for sunbathing!  Due to strong currents swimming is dangerous during the Autumn & Winter. 

Offshore Cham Islands are best during Spring & Summer with Community Homestay and responsible tourism activities including hiking, sailing, snorkelling & kayaking.  In Winter travel to Cham Islands is difficult or impossible due to North East monsoon - best to stay and do some activities on Hoi An or My Son!
