Our Cam Thanh Palm Grove Kayak Tour
This ecological area is great for kayaking at high tide as you find your way thru the maze of palms
Location
Cam Thanh village water palm grove is approximately 3 km from Karma Waters towards the river - ocean inlet.
Tour time
Approximately 4 hours.
Suitable fitness levels
All ages of healthy and active people - novice kayaking on still river waters.
Departure time
Best is early morning start 8 am to finish before the heat of the day is too hot !
Things to see and feel
See local fishing village, wildlife, water palm groves.
This is an important ecological site where the water palms are flushing the waters (mixture of sea and fresh water from rivers). The palms are harvested and used for making traditional roofing on houses. The grove is a maze of small canals and ideal for exploring peacefully by kayak - especially when the tide is high.
Equipment
Sit-on-top style kayaks on still river waters. Life jackets and water proof bags available. Single and double kayaks are available; our double kayaks with 3 seats can take young children weather permitting - a family of 2 adults and 2 children easily fit into one double kayak !
Personal needs
Bring towel, change of clothes (in case of getting wet when kayaking). Floppy hat, sun block, anorak and other protection against the elements are recommended.
