Our Lonely Island Kayak Tour

This tour goes to one of the least used & most beautiful river areas in Hoi An

Location

"Lonely Island" is approximately 4 km up the estuary to the West of Karma Waters under the bridge. Called Lonely Island by us because of 9 houses on such a small island! It is towards Tra Que organic vegetable village

Kayaking time

4 hour round trip kayak tour.

Equipment

Sit-on-top style kayaks on still river waters. Life jackets and water proof bags available. Single and double kayaks are available; our double kayaks with 3 seats can take young children weather permitting - a family of 2 adults and 2 children easily fit into one double kayak !

Things to see and feel

Local fishing communities & boats. Water buffalos and cattle grazing. Birds include egrets, herons and kingfishers.

This part of the local waterway is perhaps the least used, most beautiful and unspoilt in the Hoi An area. The estuary ends about 2 km further North from Lonely Island in very shallow waters and was rumoured to once be part of an inland waterway connecting Hoi An to Danang - we explore this area by kayak.
