Our Lonely Island Tour

This tour goes to one of the least used & most beautiful river areas in Hoi An

Location

"Lonely Island" is approximately 4 km up the estuary to the West of Karma Waters under the bridge.  Called Lonely Island by us because of 9 houses on such a small island!

Voyage time

Approximately 1 hour round trip by lifeboat

Departure time

Anytime the Customer requests & when boat is available.  Daylight hours only.

Things to see and feel

Local fishing communities & boats.  Water buffalos and cattle grazing.  Birds include egrets, herons and kingfishers.

This part of the local waterway is perhaps the least used, most beautiful and unspoilt in the Hoi An area.  The estuary ends about 2 km further North in very shallow waters and was rumoured to once be part of an inland waterway connecting Hoi An to Danang.

Best time to go

Departure about 30 - 45 minutes before sunset and watch the sun set over the hills towards Laos

Guide

No Guide is provided on this tour - this is a low cost tour with boat operator only (limited English spoken)
