Our Central Vietnam Highlands Sightseeing Tour

Travel by vehicle or motorcycle on the Ho Chi Minh trail to the cool & uncrowded Central Highlands with minority tribes, rivers, hills & jungles

Location

The highlands of Central Vietnam are close to the border with Laos and high above Hoi An.  This is part of the "Ho Chi Minh Trail" stretching from North to South Vietnam and has relatively new roads which are rarely used by traffic.

Tour time

Because of time to travel before reaching the Central Highlands minimum is a full day tour of 8 hours.

Option is two day tour; first day to Khum Duc and overnight stay at hotel with early departure next morning for return journey to Hoi An.

Departure time

Hoi An area hotel pickup at the latest 8 am with return to hotel latest 6 pm.

Things to see and feel

Central highlands are completely different to coastal Vietnam - it is clean & quiet with forests, hilly & often covered in mist. 

It is the home to minority tribes & forest peoples. 

Scenic and rest stops are taken along the way.  Meals and snacks taken when hungry - picnics on the riverside with vegetarian food provided by Karma Waters.

Equipment

Option is to travel by road in our classic US Army Jeep or Minsk motorcycle or use a more modern vehicle.

Personal needs

Bring towel, change of clothes, floppy hat, sun block, passport, anorak and other protection against the elements are recommended.

Simple, clean with air conditioner and 1 night stay is included in the tour price

Weather conditions

This area high above Hoi An is cool in Spring and Summer - a welcome break from the heat!

Rate per person

Price on request.  Minimum 2 persons.  Deposit of 50% required for reservation.
