Our UNESCO Hue Culture Tour

Hue is the old capital of Vietnam, has real & authentic Vietnamese culture & heritage and has "UNESCO Complex of Hue Monuments" World Heritage Site status.

Introduction

Hue is approximately 120 km by road North of Hoi An (90km from Danang).

Our company Tara Co. Ltd. is headquartered in Hue since 2005. Our family origins are in Hue with family still living in Hue.

Hue - the old capital of Vietnam - has UNESCO World Heritage Site status for it's monuments.

There are really three distinct areas of Vietnam the North, Central and South. Central Vietnam starts from Hue and goes down South of Nha Trang - the old lines of the Cham Kingdom.

Hue is officially considered to be in South Vietnam as it lies South of the old DMZ dividing line drawn up and part of the Geneva Accord 1954. Hue was also the original capital of the Cham Kingdom before they moved South to Hoi An area (separation of Hai Van Pass from the Vietnamese in the North added more protection).

Things to see and feel

Hue as the old capital is the origin of most real & authentic Vietnamese culture & heritage.

Many of the most important sites of Vietnam are in Hue including pagodas, Universities, traditional craft villages, museums, etc.
