Our Organic Vegan Philosophy

Karma Waters restaurant located in Hoi An Ancient Town, Vietnam open 8 am - 9 am daily.  Free WiFi !

With 20 seats we provide dining, quick healthy vegan food, delivery & takeout.  We provide group set meals and catering.

Our lifestyle, restaurant & tour Philosophy is to promote & provide a healthy organic vegan diet which significantly reduces your pollution footprint as the major step towards living a more sustainable lifestyle!  See our Power Point "Organic Vegan = Green":

• The fastest way to reduce global warming effects and the greatest contribution to reduction of greenhouse effects is for humans to switch to an organic vegan diet! 
• 2006 United Nations Livestock Report found that the meat, dairy & fishing industries combined produces more greenhouse gases than all the SUVs, cars, trucks, planes & ships in the world combined!  
• Eating 1 lb of meat emits the same greenhouse gases as driving a SUV 40 miles!  

The Owners are 100% organic vegans – so NO dairy products, meat, fish or eggs are cooked or available on our premises.  

It is difficult to be 100% sure what we purchase is organic and non-GM so we purchase most of our organic vegetables direct from Tra Que village. As far as we know Tra Que produces only organic vegetables.

Karma Waters serves Indian, Quick Vegan Food, international & local Vietnamese dishes which are fresh, healthy organic vegan food in large portions at reasonable prices:

• Food prepared WITHOUT sugar or MSG!

• We prepare healthy fruit juices & shakes WITHOUT sugar

• We source mostly organic fruits & vegetables

• Menu dishes are prepared fresh when ordered

• Menu dishes are cooked with a small quantity of salt, ginger, garlic, onion & chilis to customers request

• The Vietnamese Buddhist vegetarian diet is vegan but does not use onions or garlic - customers can choose if they want these ingredients

Alcohol is not served at Karma Waters.  We serve only non-alcohol beer & sparkling non-alcohol wines.

Smoking is NOT permitted at Karma Waters.

No lottery touts or any other hawkers are allowed to enter or do their business.

Unique in Vietnam we operate a neat & clean open style vegan kitchen - our customers can see how we prepare dishes & wash the plates!  Our buildings are open architecture. 

In Hoi An there are a few small vegetarian restaurants.  Four days each month (1st, 14th, 15th & last day of the lunar calendar) many Vietnamese Buddhists are vegetarians (this is where the imitation meat & seafood comes in) and we are busiest on these days for breakfast & lunch.  

We are one of the few restaurants in Hoi An where locals and overseas tourists eat & drink together - we are inclusive & not exclusive !  If someone wants to eat vegan food we are happy to serve (good karma!) & money is not the primary issue - so we serve anyone low price daily local vegetarian plates for 10,000 VND as well as more expensive dishes from our Menu.  

Our busy times of the day are lunch (11.30-1.30 pm) or early dinner 5.30 - 6.30pm when Vietnamese customers eat.  Vietnamese are early to bed early to rise.

If a customer wants a vegan cooking class please schedule time & date, order your dish and join in the preparation, cooking & then eating! we are promoting the organic vegan lifestyle so there is no payment, please donate what you feel the value is !
