Our Vegan Vegetarian Restaurant
The Owners are vegans & as a family living in Hoi An we needed somewhere to eat healthy vegan food - so knowing nothing about restaurants with a fresh clean slate we openned Karma Waters!
Our Restaurant Philosophy
See our video Power Point "Organic Vegan = Green" Our Restaurant Philosophy is to promote & provide a vegan diet which is healthy & which significantly reduces your pollution footprint as the major step towards a more sustainable lifestyle!
We source as many organic fruits & vegetables as possible. We are one of the few restaurants in Hoi An where locals and tourists eat & drink together! If someone wants to eat vegan vegetarian food we are happy to serve (good karma) & money is not the primary issue - so we serve low price daily local vegetarian plates as well as more expensive dishes from our Menu. Karma Waters serves international & local dishes which are fresh, healthy vegan vegetarian food in large portions at reasonable prices at our peaceful riverside location:
We offer healthy fruit drinks without sugar. Beers are served ice cold. White wine is chilled & red wine at room temperature. The Owners are vegans – so NO dairy products, meat, fish or eggs are cooked or available on our premises. The Vietnamese Buddhist vegetarian diet is vegan and does not use ginger, onions or garlic. Smoking is NOT permitted inside the buildings. No lottery touts or any other hawkers are allowed to enter to do their business. Unique in Vietnam we operate a neat & clean open style vegan kitchen - our customers can see how we prepare dishes. Our buildings are open architecture. Clean toilets are located far away from food preparation & dining areas. In Hoi An there are a few vegetarian restaurants. Four days each month (1st, 14th, 15th & last day of the lunar calendar) many Vietnamese Buddhists are vegetarians (this is where the imitation meat & seafood comes in) and we are busiest on these days for breakfast & lunch. Our busy times of the day are lunch (11.30-1.30 pm) or early dinner 5.30 - 6.30pm when Vietnamese customers eat. Vietnamese are early to bed early to rise. |
