In our reality what we "produce" is people (customers, employees, owners, community, etc.). Our "products" (tours, homestay, food, boats, etc.) are a necessary by-product & reflection of who we are - and they are only one of many methods to prove & improve ourselves as "humane beings"

The Vision we are participating & co-creating includes:

  • We have an important sustainability message for all peoples of this planet: Choose an organic vegan diet to save our planet ! The best solution to global warming is an organic vegan diet! Organic Vegan = Green 
  • We are investing in cleansing our personal & collective karma.  The Owners as an organic vegan family are seeking to grow & nurture - this fundamental nurturing principle underlines our personal approach to life and business (busy-ness) is a part of life!  
  • As responsible people developing a sustainable business (see sister company "Tara way") we are exploring ourselves, creating & sharing our organic vegan lifestyle within this global social community & environment 
  • We believe in the process of getting out our message we will naturally become one of the world's "best" organic vegan restaurant & responsible tourism operators!  when we first started our business we limited our vision - but with global and our growing awareness of the vital importance of the organic vegan diet we are growing in our capacity !

Karma Waters Products & Services

To achieve our Vision:

  • To fully understand how to own and operate a vegan restaurant for community benefit in a Buddhist country takes a lifetime of active learning ! we are promoting and providing organic vegan diet to as many people as possible in order to reduce global warming and the destruction of our home the planet !  
  • We started Karma Waters restaurant and tours in 2005.  We are Western foreign owned and managed and have been creating our restaurant & tours based on vegan lifestyle principles (sustainability, community & environmental benefits, etc.) and what we enjoy as tourists & foreigners !
  • The MOST important MOST difficult to find is good, honest & reliable Guides who speak English and who are able to make the customers's experiences meaningful and valuable !  we believe we have excellent Guides !
  • We provide high quality customized small group Homestays & tours -we do not want large numbers of customers - we want our customers to have the experiences they need and in return we want a sustainable business
  • The key to high quality customer service is our understanding and relationship with our customers !  We prefer to work directly with the Customer to understand and meet their needs.  We work with very few reputable Travel Agents.  (In Vietnam many tour operators and Guides work only for their personal interests which is often generating income !)
  • We are responsible for our actions, words & thoughts
  • Substantial benefit goes to local communities
  • Substantial benefit goes to the environment
  • We are using an open management system coupled with participation processes involving all of our employees
  • By Vietnamese standards all Karma Waters & Tara employees are well rewarded for participation including being well paid with bonuses based on overall performance & sharing of tips (no percentage of tips goes to the Owners)
  • Plan is for Karma Waters to become a Workers Cooperative when employees are ready to "invest"
  • We actively participate with local communities in community based tourism initiatives including applying sustainable development & participation processes
  • We use "hardware" (boats, equipment, etc.) as tools for self-cultivation
  • We provide customized high quality accommodation, tours & activities to small groups of 2 - 8 customers
  • We normally sell direct to our customers - we do not agree nor support high margins earned by many tour agents! 
  • We are exploring & rediscovering the ancient lost Champa Kingdom around Hoi An comprised of hundreds of kilometers of waterways & more than 2,000 years of culture & trade!
  • As a healthy organic vegan restaurant in Hoi An we feed the local community & tourists. Any customer with only 10,000 VND (US$0.50) can eat a full healthy meal - if the customer wants to pay more we have more expensive food & beverages from the Menu 
  • The best solution for global warming is an organic vegan diet and it is important to promote & make available vegan food & drinks for as many people as possible ! this is how we can change global warming
